  • The Secret of Divine Civilization
In 1875, at Bahá’u’lláh’s suggestion, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá penned a commentary addressed to the people of Persia containing guidance on the means for establishing and developing a “divine civilization”. Briefly, the means is for all people to educate themselves to become one of the “spiritually learned”. This book will be apropos to humanity’s education and development for centuries to come. Shoghi Effendi designates it “‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s outstanding contribution to the future reorganization of the world…” (WOB 37) Written anonymously and without one mention of Bahá’u’lláh, the real Source of these teachings, this book contains guidance that is universally applicable to individuals and cultures of the human family. Every teacher, especially, must be fully conversant with the educational concepts herein.

  • A Traveler’s Narrative
In the late 1800s some of the primary source material of the European orientalists, scholars and diplomats came from enemies of the Bahá’í Faith. In order to set the record straight and to show the reality of the context within which the faith of the Báb had developed, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá set down this brief account anonymously and had it delivered into the hands of Professor Edward G. Browne, an English orientalist from Cambridge University. A brief and insightful history, it has no parallel in that it was authored by the authorized Head, Expounder and Interpreter of the Bahá’í Faith - ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
