On October 8th ‘Abdu’l-Bahá addressed the students and faculty of Leland Stanford University emphasizing science and the oneness of all phenomena. The diarist Mahmud reported that “the entire audience was overcome with admiration. The applause shook the building to its very foundation.” Mahmud’s Diary, page 311.
